I'm not drawing a line so far, even though they say a lot of things that could be triggering. Not reacting when that happens is a strategy for getting what I need out of the situation before I short circuit.
Thanks. "Drawing a line" was probably too imprecise. I try to be open to a variety of viewpoints from which I've learned - YOURS be a terrific example. But I don't agree with some views, such as those mentioned above. In the daily work with young people at the Mn State Capitol, we try to find areas of agreement so that we can move forward on key issues youth have identified. that means working with some people on issues where we agree- such as mental health & Post secondary Options, while recognizing we disagree on other issues.
